Test strategy creation and implementation

Was leading two test projects. The first one was related to Messengers for RIM mobile devices:

Transferring test part of the project from Customer team to Teleca. Test process setup. Test planning, test development and test execution.
Test development including test cases creation and update based on spec, user stories, etc. Analysing and improving test coverage. Test plans creation.
Test execution consisting of manual test execution including smoke, sanity, regression, ad-hoc, localization, internationalization, stress, feature testing as well as bug verification.
Test planning: Work with dev team, project and product management in order to schedule test cycles. Reporting on status and issues. Triage meetings.
Test process setup: Communication with customer in order to setup reporting and test strategy. Test wiki page setup.

The second project was related to automotive infotainment system.
Main resposibilities were: test team coordination, continuous test process improvement, communication with customer including customer relation improvement, reporting, test plans analysis and update, various type of testing. Leading the team up to 5 QA engineers.

Testing of client-server navigation applications (Brew/RIM/Android).
Leading projects\team from QA side.
Onsite work at customer's office in California for 8 months.
Field testing across the world. (USA, Mexico, Argentina, Europe)

Field Testing responsibilities include: manual testing covering regression, performance and functional testing. Executing test cases as well as analyzing server logs. Interacting with the team to troubleshoot and report defects using Bugzilla based NIMBLE throughout the product lifecycle. Drive testing globally verifying compatibility with GSM, CDMA and 3/4G networks. Pre/Post-sales and first tier technical support for European mobile operators and customers. Simulation development support for customer and tradeshow demos.

Leading the test team up to 10 QA engineers, including: project coordination, meetings with customer, tasks distribution, mentoring, reporting.

The purpose of the project was to perform UI testing mobile phones based on CDMA standard. I acted as Software Test Engineer. My responsibilities were test execution, test development, spec review, change request retest, strategic vector testing.
Test execution consisted of performing of the test procedures, documentation of the test results, submitting of change requests, getting the logs, supporting of change requests and correspondence with colleagues. Various tools were used in the work.
The test cases development included test procedures creation for the new features, rewriting of existing test cases for using with the other designs, validation of created test cases, participation in test cases inspections.
Change request retest was to verify the UI changes made.
Strategic vector testing consisted of the general UI testing procedure based on current specification and personal experience in the developed product testing.
Spec review consisted of verifying different versions of specification according to knowledge in specialization area.

Took part in planning and management of the team of four engineers.
